Requirements

When lead acid batteries charge they can produce explosive and corrosive gasses. It is important that the battery boxes are vented to the outside.

Points to Consider

  • Vent fans and ducting must be corrosion proof
  • Fans only need to be on while charging
  • Only required for wet lead acid batteries
