Analysis

The speed sensor, which is mounted on the transmission is tied to the Motronic engine control, which, in turn controls the speedometer

Speed sensor is G22 on page 97-72. 3 pin connector with wires black/white, white/blue and brown (ground).

Action

This has been tested by having power to the vehicle, then using a drill to turn the speed sensor. Everything works fine, no modification is required.
